Bruker AVANCE DRX 500 MHz NMR
The 500 MHz NMR spectrometer features a 5 mm 1H/13C/15N cryoprobe with a cold proton channel. In Cryoprobes the detection coil is held near liquid Helium temperatures and the proton preamp is held near the temperature of liquid Nitrogen. Holding these two components at these temperatures dramatically reduces the noise floor of the system. The probe delivers approximately 5 times the proton sensitivity of a room temperature probe. The system excels at direct detection of proton and as a platform for indirect detection of 13C or 15N through the normal suite of 2-D experiments. The instrument is normally fitted with a 5 mm Cryoprobe with triple-resonance capabilities, allowing detection of low concentration samples as well as fast acquisition of 2D and 3D datasets for both small molecules and proteins. The addition of the BACS-120 sample changer allows for high-throughput metabolomics screenings and acquisition of submitted samples during evenings and weekends. The instrument supports limited variable-temperature operation with this cryo-probe.
Probes available:
- 5 mm Triple-resonance Cryoprobe (1H, 13C, 15N) with a Z axis gradient
- 5 mm QNP, capable of 1H/19F/13C/31P with a Z axis gradient
- 5mm Triple-resonance (1H, 13C, 15N) Inverse probe with XYZ Gradients
